Antonia Ogden-Meade worked for over 20 years in the NHS in both clinical and senior management roles. She started her own childcare business in 2005 and now owns 6 day nurseries based in the South of England. Frustrated with the lack of meaningful training and development support for unqualified staff or courses for senior staff looking to move to manager roles, she decided to set up her own training company in 2016. Antonia is a great supporter and advocate of early years learning. Research tells us that this phase of learning and development for a child makes an unquestionable difference to the rest of their lives and, any gaps not addressed before a child goes to school, will remain throughout their school life. It is this passion that underpins the style of learning the training team use to deliver every programme.
Michele Budgen is the Head of Training and Development and joined the team in 2017. She has a passion for early years and thoroughly enjoys teaching and facilitating workshops, sharing and developing knowledge and experience. Michele is an accomplished early years practitioner. She started her career in childcare 17 years ago in childminding and opened her own nursery in 2013. Wanting to extend her role as a mentor and teacher, Michele began teaching short courses at local colleges and for West Sussex County Council. Michele has seen many changes within the childcare sector. She enjoys the challenge of extending and adapting practice to meet new legislation, focusing on securing the best outcomes for children at the heart of everything she does. It is this child centred approach (commented on by many course attendees) that makes our workshops so meaningful.
